We will be holding a phonebank-a-thon this Tuesday from 10 AM to 7 PM in the Blagdon Room of the Union for our very own Congressman John D. Dingell. Congressman Dingell has been a longtime friend of our organization and has been a tireless advocate for Democratic values over the 55 years that he has been in Congress. He made an appearance on the Daily Show last April, if you would like to learn more about his policy positions or see him reveal his sense of humor.
Anyway, please join us to make calls to voters in the 15th District to ensure that the Congressman is reelected once again. If you’re able to help out, please sign up below so that we have an idea of how many people to expect, but remember that you are always welcome to drop in anytime!

This 80-page, full-color book functions to inform of past activist history, celebrate contemporary activists, and inspire future ones. The first part of the book documents the work of four progressive groups working in the past four years: Students Supporting Affirmative Action, The College Democrats, Voice Your Vote, and The Coke Coalition. Through words and images, the book exposes how these groups organize, activate, and get results on campus. In addition, within each of the four chapters are three historical entries documenting related movements in U-M activist history. The final section of the book culls the knowledge of this generation’s activists into a ‘how-to’ section for tomorrow. New students will find information about student group organization, get-out-the vote efforts, publicity, and protest invaluable.
On Sunday, join Congressman Gary Peters and College Democrats at the University of Michigan as we knock doors in Royal Oak. This is an incredible opportunity to spend the entire afternoon with a sitting US Congressman; don’t miss out! Cars leaving at 11 am and will return by 5 pm.
