There has been a large amount of variation among polling results in this year’s primary elections, and it is, of course, difficult to determine before the voters go to the polls which surveys best represent the actual state of the election.
In the interest of putting some perspective on polling data, I present to you an analysis done by SurveyUSA following Super Tuesday. SurveyUSA put together a report card of sorts that ranks the most active polling firms by their average accuracy, giving the average difference between their predicted margin of victories and the actual margins.
I find it interesting that the schools on this list are all small, relatively unknown schools. I would have expected a larger or better known school to be on this list.
surveyUSA is number one on surveyUSA’s top polling list?! Go figure.
