During a speech in Rackham Auditorium yesterday, former Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice said she “had never seen anything warp diplomacy like high oil prices.” I don’t think this quote even needs comment.

The Mackinac Center has found something else to do with a FOIA request besides looking for Obama’s birth certificate and trying to tie JFK to Area 51.

Apparently students don’t want to be lectured on the importance of education by a man who is cutting their university’s funding.

Three West Quad residents were found shaking a vending machine. Do they know that more people are killed by falling vending machines each year than by shark attacks?!?! (These are the types of things that keep me up at night.)

University Union officials describe the vetting process for food vendors. They don’t explain why I can’t get a Blizzard on campus.

Wisconsin workers get their bargain on ahead of Governor Walker’s unfair labor laws going into effect.

The Daily publishes a hard hitting editorial piece: Snyder, Meh?

Governor Snyder exemplifies a number of the qualities Engineering Senior Anne Winter admires in Michigan graduates: A commitment to education, a belief in supporting Michigan’s working class, and a voice that doesn’t send shivers down her spine.

I’m supposed to have a concentration in less than two months. Feel free to send suggestions.

25 Across: CYAN

Lupe Fiasco gets a less than stellar review from the Daily. All the more reason to attend the Peace Corps benefit concert on April 1st at Hill Auditorium.

In non-Daily related news, Jezebel.com has begun its 2011 March Madness tournament. This year’s theme is Cats vs. Dogs and I have corgis beating maine coons in a tight finish. Be sure to vote: It’s your democratic duty, elections have consequences, etc.

Borders files Chapter 11. First Village Corner, now Borders? Where am I supposed to browse through trashy magazines while being glared at by employees?

ROTC members aren’t asking how DADT will be repealed and their leaders aren’t telling.

*CRIME NOTES* People who live in Bursley smoke pot sometimes.

Mary Sue Coleman fails to receive letter regarding campus sustainability because she doesn’t actually live on campus.

From the Daily: TFA funding should be maintained (in order to employ future Dems).

I support Joe Sugiyama’s call to make small, energy saving changes, but if one more person turns off the light while I’m in the shower, there will be repercussions.

MSA President Chris Armstrong declares himself a bullying expert. I’d like to see some credentials.

In yesterday’s women’s footsketball game against Indiana, fifty percent of something (points? goals? dates?) were scored from behind something called “the arc“.

Skating and synchronized swimming are now classified as art. Does that mean Snyder will be cutting their funding too?

*ALERT* The B-Side includes an article about poetry and it doesn’t completely suck.
