Environmental Dems Overview
The Environmental Committee actively works towards environmental responsibility and stewardship on the University of Michigan campus. We are involved in local independent campaigns as well as working with the rest of the College Dems on organization wide events and activities. Currently, we are pushing for LEED certification for the future North Quad Complex.
We are also planning an Environmental Event on September 24 which will focus on renewable energy and global warming, and how they relate to the 2006 elections in Michigan. The event will be held at the Michigan Union from 3:30-4:30. Watch our website for an announcement!
We meet on Mondays at 9 pm in the Welker Room of the Michigan Union, so please join us if you're interested in local and statewide environmental issues!
